Financing Clean Energy Assets
Providing flexible financing models that allow customers to purchase and operate innovative products
Daylipa Finance
Making Clean Energy Assets Affordable
4R Digital, in partnership with Davis & Shirtliff, set up Daylipa Finance, an energy asset financing company expanding access to clean, income-generating technologies across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Daylipa enables customers to access high-quality water and energy solutions through flexible Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) and Pay-As-You-Use financing models — removing upfront cost barriers and unlocking productivity.
Driving Farmer Income Growth
The initial focus is PAYG solar water pumping systems for smallholder farmers. Solar irrigation pumps have been shown to increase farmer incomes by 40–60% by improving yields and reducing fuel costs. By spreading payments over time, farmers can generate income while paying for the asset. Daylipa aims to reach more than 150,000 customers within five years, including at least 30% women, with long-term regional expansion across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and beyond.
Powered by Digital Infrastructure
At the core of Daylipa is a centralized digital PAYG platform developed by 4R Digital. The platform enables loan and repayment management, remote device activation and control, performance monitoring, and real-time customer support. Devices are equipped with GSM connectivity and secure firmware, ensuring system integrity and enabling remote management.
Scalable Impact
By combining trusted distribution, digital finance, and smart device integration, Daylipa Finance is building a scalable model that increases farmer incomes, expands access to clean energy, reduces operational costs, and accelerates economic inclusion. Daylipa Finance is enabling the next generation of affordable, productive energy solutions across Africa.
