The Carbon Value Exchange

The Carbon Value Exchange (known as Cavex) is a digital platform incubated by 4R Digital that enables the generation and trading of high integrity carbon credits. Designed as a secure, cloud-based, two-sided system, Cavex provides small-scale clean energy and agricultural projects with the digital tools required to monitor, verify, and validate carbon-related data. The platform operates a digital ledger that traces carbon savings from initial data capture through credit allocation, transfer, and retirement, ensuring accuracy, preventing duplication, and supporting full auditability.

Cavex ingests participant and project information at scale and integrates seamlessly with IoT-enabled carbon-saving devices, enabling continuous data collection to support quantification of emissions reductions. The platform applies in-house developed methodologies aligned with the ISO 14064 family of standards and automates key steps in credit classification. Proceeds from carbon credit sales can flow directly to project beneficiaries through integrated digital payment rails.

Two Cavex methodologies have been reviewed and approved by an independent Validation and Verification Body (VVB), affirming that Cavex's digital approach meets rigorous quality requirements and can underpin credible carbon claims.

Built on a data-centric architecture, Cavex also enables monitoring of social and economic co-benefits, helping projects access premium pricing in voluntary carbon markets. Buyers can view non-personal performance data such as location, credit type, and co-benefits through project dashboards. Revenues from premium-priced credits may be directed toward participant payments, product subsidies, or concessional financing, generating meaningful value for investors, project developers, and end-beneficiaries.
