Nick has been at the forefront of innovation in mobile commerce in emerging markets for two decades, pioneering successful digital Fintech solutions that solve real problems. Nick leads the development of 4R Digital’s products and services.  Nick was the co-founder of M-KOPA, the pioneering pay-as-you-go clean energy and financial services business that has reached over 1 million customers in Africa.  Prior to this, he developed and led M-PESA from its origination to mass-market deployment in multiple territories, starting in Kenya where it has delivered financial inclusion to tens of millions of people.  Nick was awarded with an OBE for services to ‘innovation in Africa’ in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Dr Dewage leads the battery advisory services. Former Battery Research Lead at M-KOPA Solar and experienced in design and development of robust lifecycle management systems and processes. PhD in Energy Storage from Imperial College.

Marie oversees all aspects of 4R Digital’s finances, resource planning and contractual agreements. Experienced Managing Director and COO of technology solution providers. She is an expert project manager, strategic planner and problem-solver.

John is responsible for 4R Digital global technical strategy, delivery and operations. He is a Software architect, multi-disciplined developer and entrepreneur experiences in delivering and scaling creative, software applications using .NET on the Web, Mobile and Cloud.

Jon leads 4R Digital’s Innovation Advisory services. Jon had 15 years experience as a Principal in International development focusing on market innovations and was the Former Director of Innovation LAB at M-KOPA. He also has experience in design and implementation of innovation funds.
